V8 Shootout official dates- May 24th and 25th.
May 24th, 8:00 am Kick off Breakfast at a place TBD.
10:30 am Pre-mapped Group cruise through Dallas, Course TBD
12:00 pm clean cars at TBD location
1:00-4:00 pm Car show starts at one of the Lexus dealers in town if we can secure this.
3:30 pm Awards to be given, Awards are TBD, but will include Best in Show, 2nd, and 3rd place. Best V8 in Show, 2nd and 3rd.
6:00 pm Dinner and party TBD
Sunday May 25th, 8:00 am Dyno Shootout, place: Xtreme Horsepower, North Richland Hills, TX. Dyno Tunes will be available at the Dyno by Chris Macellaro who teaches at EFI. He can schedule a tune before the event for anbody that wants one, and he is one of the best in his field...He is familiar with most all Engine Management Systems, and is an expert at tuning for peak power, driveability and gain. I am having my car tuned by him before the event. Specials are available due to the show.
1:00-5:00 pm Track Shootout at Texas Motorplex Track. Time Slips will be provided.
5:00 pm, Awards for Most powerful Dyno, Most Powerful V8 Dyno, Fastest 1/4 mile, Fastest V8 1/4 mile.

Chris was as thorough as you can be. The car is pulling much harder now. He was helpful and friendly and even explained to me what exactly he was doing and why as he tuned it which was pretty rad.
If you want to make a lot of power without sacrificing engine life and mpg you NEED to take it to Chris. He'll be tuning my car again when I come up with the cash for DSMLink. I'm really happy with the way the car is running now!

If you have the opportunity to have your car tuned by Chris go for it. Unfortunately my friend was not able to get his car tuned right. We discovered some problems with his car. These prevented Chris from getting the car right but he did everything he could to get it right.

Yeah, having car issues is a very big problem. When I was tuned by chris on my srt we were limited by some boost issues and come to find out it already had a bad turbo and bad piston rings.
Still went with a tune and got me more than turbotunes got me......... Car ran strong with a bad turbo and bad rings. Oh and not to mention good advice, and professionalism from Chris. Very professional, and a very knowlegable tuner

A guy tuned my car in NC. He said he was a certified AEM EMS tuner, so i was stupid and trusted him. They tuned it enough to set my boost and my WOT. The car was barely driveable back to GA.
Before knowing all the issues I immediately made an appt with Chris. Chris explained there was no so such certification which really bothered me that someone would lie like that just to get a few bucks.
Chris tuned my car and it ran 100% better. I actually felt comfortable driving it home. It drove fine and I had no problems getting the 3 hours home.

All I can say is race gas scares the hell out of me. My car is simply amazing! You guys needing a tune Chris Macellaro is the real deal. He turned my car into a monster. This thing now has stock drivability from low RPM all the way through the power band. I drove 850 miles to Georgia from Dallas and it was worth every back jarring mile and I hope to do it again in the future. Macellaro Performance thank you for everything!!!!!!
